Dubai airport reopens, Emirates resumes flight route Bali-Dubai

Denpasar (ANTARA) – Emirates has resumed international flights between Bali and Dubai after operations gradually restarted at Dubai International Airport, Bali’s I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport said on Friday.

The airport’s head of communications and legal affairs, Gede Eka Sandi Asmadi, said Emirates had operated one aircraft that had remained overnight at Ngurah Rai Airport since Feb. 28.

The aircraft operated flight EK369, departing Denpasar for Dubai at 12:42 a.m. on Thursday (March 5) using an Airbus A380.

The service marked Emirates’ first Denpasar–Dubai flight since airspace disruptions triggered by the escalating Middle East conflict involving the United States, Israel and Iran.

International arrivals from Dubai to Bali have also resumed.

“On Friday afternoon, Ngurah Rai Airport served Emirates flight EK368 from Dubai. The Airbus A380 landed in Bali at 4:30 p.m.,” Asmadi said.

Airport management continues to coordinate closely with airlines affected by the disruption as not all Middle East routes have resumed normal operations.

Since Feb. 28, a total of 64 international flights at Ngurah Rai Airport have been canceled, comprising 34 departures and 30 arrivals.
