JAKARTA – A total of 10,000 runners from within and outside the country are confirmed to take part in the international running event, wondr Kemala Run 2026, which will be held at the Bali United Training Centre, Gianyar, Bali, on Sunday, April 19, 2026. This activity is one of the efforts to encourage the development of sports tourism as well as strengthening social action through the theme of Charity for Indonesia.
This event is the result of collaboration between PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI through the wondr by BNI digital platform with the Kemala Bhayangkari Foundation. Of the total participants, about 1,000 runners will participate in the Half Marathon category, 4,000 runners in the 10K category, and 5,000 runners in the 5K category.
BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo said this activity was an important momentum in encouraging a healthy lifestyle while increasing Bali’s appeal as a world-class sports destination.
“Through the wondr Kemala Run 2026, we want to present an international running experience while encouraging people to live healthier and more active,” Okki said in a written statement.
He added that the high participation of runners from various circles, ranging from the running community, the general public, to international participants, shows that this event is increasingly recognized as a global sports event.
In addition to the main competition, this activity was also enlivened by various supporting activities involving local communities, including competitions between villages and banjar along the race route. This activity is expected to strengthen community involvement while providing economic impact for the region.
The Charity for Indonesia theme carried out in this event also emphasizes the value of togetherness and social concern. Through various donation activities and humanitarian actions, participants are invited to contribute to creating a positive impact for the community.
During the event, BNI also presented various digital transaction services to support the convenience of participants and visitors. Starting from opening a new account, transactions using QRIS, to various promos such as cashback and rewards that can be enjoyed directly at the event location.
Okki assessed that the synergy between the banking sector and sports communities like this not only presents a quality sports experience, but also strengthens the digital ecosystem and supports local economic growth.
“The enthusiasm of the participants shows that this event is not only a sports event, but also able to provide a positive impact on the local economy,” he said.
Yayasan Kemala Bhayangkari as a partner organizer also plays an active role in integrating sports activities with social and humanitarian actions. This collaboration is part of an effort to strengthen togetherness while expanding the benefits of activities for the community.
With a large scale of participation and an integrated concept, wondr Kemala Run 2026 is expected to strengthen Bali’s position as an international sport tourism destination while presenting an unforgettable running experience for participants from various countries. (ADV)
