The Buleleng District Government in Bali is finalizing preparations for the Lovina Festival 2026, which is scheduled to be held from July 24 to 29, 2026, as part of efforts to boost tourism.”We have instructed all regional government agencies to ensure they are fully prepared so that the festival can be held safely, orderly, and comfortably for visitors, as the Lovina Festival is part of the 2026 Kharisma Event Nusantara calendar,” Chair of the Lovina Festival 2026 Organizing Committee, Putu Ayu Reika Nurhaeni, said at the Buleleng Culture and Tourism Office on Monday.
Putu Ayu said the coordination meeting marked the final stage of preparations to refine all technical aspects ahead of the festival’s opening on Friday (July 24). “This is our final coordination meeting. I would like to thank everyone for their cooperation. Let us use this opportunity to ensure every aspect is fully prepared so that Lovina Festival 2026 can be successfully held,” she said. According to Putu Ayu, the Trade, Industry, Cooperatives, and MSMEs Office has curated 82 MSMEs to ensure that the products offered meet quality standards and appeal to visitors.
To support the smooth running of the event, the Transportation Office has prepared ten parking areas across the festival venue with support from Kalibukbuk and Kaliasem villages to anticipate traffic congestion.
The government also prepares security with the Public Order Unit (Satpol PP) to secure 14 strategic locations. The Fire and Rescue Service and Health Office will also deploy personnel to respond to emergencies and provide medical services for visitors. The Environmental Office will prepare waste collection points throughout the festival area and conduct clean-up operations.
The administration also provides public communication services, including documentation, media publication, and press necessities, as well as live streaming so that the public can follow the festival online.
Lovina Festival 2026 will feature a variety of attractions, including a miniature sailboat competition, a running event, a cross-country race, the traditional Gerumbungan bull race, a fish consumption campaign, cultural performances, and modern music entertainment. The festival is expected to increase tourist arrivals, stimulate the local economy, and strengthen Lovina’s position as one of the leading tourist destinations in northern Bali.
